Expand your Knowledge and Understanding

Keeping up with posts has been a bit more challenging this 2nd half of the month.
February started with such a positive mindset and focus to stay happy and joyful.
A combination of a painful anniversary and the constant rain and darkness brought a dark sense around me.
But as I look back on everything that has transpired in life, the realization is this.
Expectations weren't always met, what was "wanted" wasn't always achieved.
But did everything begin to fall into place?
Yes. Maybe not immediately, but it all seemed to fall together in the ways in which had the most benefit.
And I think that's just life. Is there a "plan" laid out for us? Who knows 🤷‍♀️
But sometimes not achieving what you think is your "goal" or suffering a loss/tragedy, lays the foundation for beautiful things to come.
Maybe those events lead you to discovering your purpose or your passion.

Focusing on my health did help to keep my mood positive though.
I have bad days, but I also don't suffer from a mental illness.
For me to wake up and not feel great, doesn't stop me from moving forward.
For mental illness sufferers, this isn't always the case.
As much as they may try and convince themselves to get up, get out of bed, go for a walk, take a shower, workout, etc. their mental illness stops them.
It is tough to understand for those of us lucky enough to never have faced that, but it is real.

There is nothing wrong with saying, “I am unfamiliar with that” or “I would like to learn more”. Admitting that maybe you don’t have knowledge of a specific topic is not a bad thing. No one expects a “know it all” and sometimes acting as if you “know it all” when you don’t, is an off-putting quality.

Be open to new growth opportunities. Expand your understanding 💙

Read the books, do the research, join the movements, put yourself out there. You only have this 1 life.
