The GBY3Foundation has developed a strong curriculum to present to schools. This curriculum will be used alongside academics to ensure Social Emotional Learning occurs daily in the classroom, teaching self care techniques that children can manage independently.
Co-Founder Chelsea Yeager is an experienced elementary school teacher. Developing this curriculum took place in a real classroom setting with actual students. Social Emotional Learning through the GBY3 Foundation curriculum took place on a daily basis in an inclusive classroom setting as children accessed the academic curriculum.
This program can be used in your classroom, as Chelsea’s classroom and teaching serves as a model. She is a real teacher, not just a figurehead representing a curriculum developed in an office through research. Yes, research and methodology went into the development of our resources and tools, but through images and videos, fellow educators can see how Chelsea and her co-workers utilize this curriculum alongside their academics.
In Chelsea’s classroom, students excel in their understanding of their emotions and the emotions of those around them. Students develop the ability to identify how they are feeling and independently use coping strategies to manage those emotions.
Teaching academics is a priority in the classroom, but teaching emotional well-being coincides with the academic success of all students. As these skills are taught and mastered, the opportunities for children are endless.
